Carroll University sophomore Lindsay Gruenke wasted no time in having a productive spring track season.
The 2008 Kaneland graduate won five indoor events at the Midwest Conference championships in Galesburg, Ill., on Feb. 27 with top performances in the 55 meter dash, 200 meter dash (school record of 26.05 seconds), 400m dash, and being part of the 4×200 meter relay and the 4×400 meter relay.
By excelling in the 400m dash in the Last Chance Meet on March 5, Gruenke secured a trip to Nationals on March 12-13 in Greencastle, Ind. Gruenke qualified for the 400 meter dash finals after posting a school record time of 57.28 in the preliminaries. She finished seventh in the finals with a time of 57.73. cementing All-American status.
