This is a fine example of what will happen to our community with all the liquor licenses. With a license comes responsibility, and these establishments have not learned this. I would love to hear what the Elburn mayor (Dave Anderson) has to say about this (being the liquor commisioner that issued these licenses in the first place). He has come up with a new elburn mission statement stating from E.H. April 30 article:

"Anderson said small-town values “encompasses a lot of things … it’s like ‘Cheers’—everybody knows your name.

He refers to a TV famed bar as an example of his "small town values". I don't think that bars should be the central socialization of our community and our families.

In a E.H. Article dated Apr. 21st
"Majority of Board Says No To Video Gambling",
Dave Anderson is the only one in support of the Gambling.
Is gambling a community friendly event??? I think not.

If these bars are providing underage drinking, how are these bars helping our community and our families?
Our community needs to focus on what's best for the community, not the local bar-hoppers. A small-town philosophy should be one that provides a safe and crime free area for our families.

I think these "small town values" need to be redefined and developed based on what's best for our community, not Dave Anderson.
