Village Bible Church
offers garage sale

Sugar Grove—The Village Bible Church, 847 N. Route 47 in Sugar Grove, will hold a garage sale in its gym on Saturday, May 29, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Items ranging from furniture, clothes and toys, as well as, and cookies and lemonade, will be for sale. All profits from the sale will go toward supporting Village Bible Church mission teams to China, Uganda and Alaska.

Hosanna! Lutheran Church
hosts annual garage sale

St. Charles—Hosanna! Lutheran Church will hold its annual garage sale on Friday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, June 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Items for sale will include household goods, tools, electronics, outdoor items, small appliances, adult clothing, books and toys. Twenty percent of all proceeds will go to Lazarus House, the St. Charles-based homeless and transitional living center.

Registration open
for Rejoice Lutheran vacation Bible school

Geneva—Rejoice Lutheran Church is now registering children for its Vacation Bible School, which will be held June 14-17. The event is open to all children who were in kindergarten through fifth grade for the 2009-10 school year.

This year’s theme, “Egypt: Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace,” will take children on a virtual trip to ancient Egypt, where they will watch the story of how Joseph’s brothers sold him as a slave and about God’s plan to save Egypt. Activities will include Bible stories, games, songs and crafts.

The cost is $20 per child or $50 per family. Register now through Sunday, May 30. Registration forms are available at the church and at www.rejoiceinthemission.org.
