Burlington UMC hosts battle of the praise bands

The Burlington United Methodist Church will host four groups on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., for a fundraiser benefiting the Burlington UMC mission trip to help repair homes in Appalachia.
The â€œSaving Graceâ€ singers from Burlington UMC will head up the show, followed by â€œBeaconâ€ of Epworth UMC, Elgin, â€œJoyful Noiseâ€ from Kaneville UMC, Kaneville, and then the old time gospel acoustic sounds of â€œThe Good Ol’ Boys,â€ hailing from the Country Covenant Church in Plato Center. It will be a great show for folks of all ages.
Tickets are $10 at the door at the Burlington United Methodist Church, 195 W Center St., Burlington. All proceeds will go toward a mission trip with the Appalachia Service Project to Kentucky to repairs people’s homes. See them at www.asphome.org.
