Anesthesia risk isn’t insignificant. How do you get the uterus out without making some sort of incision? Improved cosmetic results? – Give me a break. The incision required for a conventional hysterectomy isn’t really that big. The average stay for a conventional hyst is only 1 night, sometimes 2 but that doesn’t begin to compare with the cost of using the robot. Recovery is not that significantly impacted. A good surgeon doesn’t lose that much blood during a hyst.
