Letter: Kaneland is doing an admirable job

By on September 30, 2010

Unlike Ted Koch, I think the Kaneland School District, teachers, administrators, and the board, are doing an admirable job.

My three children—one in elementary, one in middle and one in high school—are receiving a quality education due mainly to the wonderful and dedicated teachers that they have always had.

Everyone is working diligently to meet and or exceed the state standards, and will continue to do so, no matter how unrealistically they are set.

To hope that your school district should perform as well as the top school districts in the area should certainly be a goal, but to belittle them if they don’t reach those standards seems quite unfair to me.

I know that our School District will keep up the great work with our children, and hope that they know that many in Kaneland appreciate their wonderful effort.
