Local resident receives scholarship for library career

The DuPage Library System (DLS) Scholarship Committee awarded six scholarships to DLS member library employees who are furthering their education in the library field. The winners were honored at a reception prior to the Aug. 19 DLS board meeting and presented with ceremonial checks.

Sugar Grove resident Inge Buchberger, school librarian at Aurora East High School, East Aurora School District #131, received a $1,000 scholarship toward her Library Technical Assistant (LTA) coursework at Waubonsee Community College.
