Letter: In support of John Dalton
I often get frustrated with politics. Like most voters, I find myself disenfranchised with the party-line mud slinging of political campaigns.
Ten years ago, when I voted in my first election, I wouldn’t have believed that I would be volunteering for an election campaign. Then I met John G. Dalton. Since September, I have been volunteering for his campaign to be Kane County Circuit Court Judge. It is not just because he is a great person and the kind of person that gives back to his community. He is those things, but politically I am a tough sale, so there had to be other reasons.
The reason I give my time Monday and Wednesday nights to volunteer is because I agree with him in what he thinks a candidate for judge should be. John Dalton believes that the role of a judge is to be non-partisan and treat everyone fairly. I also like that John is not a career politician. One more thing that gives John Dalton my support is that he doesn’t accept donations from lawyers.
I look for substance and integrity in my political nominees, and John Dalton has that. I believe the best choice for Kane County Circuit Court Judge is John Dalton, and urge Kane County voters to show they feel the same way on Nov. 2.
