hosts Harvest Dinner
Elburnâ€”The Elburn Community Congregational Church, at the corner of Route 47 and Shannon Street in Elburn, will host its annual Harvest Dinner to support local missions on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Carry-outs and delivery are available. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $6 for children 6-12. Children under 6 eat for free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

St. Gall to bless
Elburnâ€”St. Gall will hold a blessing to consecrate the recently purchased new land on Sunday, Oct. 31, at 12:15 p.m.
The parish purchased the land adjacent to or just to the south of the existing St. Gall Cemetery, which is located on Route 47 in Elburn. All parishioners and Elburn village residents are invited to attend this special event. All attendees are asked to park in the Community Center parking lot, rather than in the cemetery, or park in the St. Gall parking lot and walk to the cemetery.

Bataviaâ€”Sanctuary Church in Batavia will host a free Great Pumpkin Party on Sunday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m.
There will be a chili and hot dog dinner at 5 p.m., and children will be able to enjoy face painting, a viewing of â€œItâ€™s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,â€ and candy, in addition to various games and prizes.

Club hosts annual
shopping night social
Genevaâ€”Join the women of St. Peter Church in Geneva for a Girls Night Out on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. in the churchâ€™s multipurpose room, 1891 Kaneville Road in Geneva.
â€œSip, Shop & Socialize,â€ sponsored by the St. Peter Womenâ€™s Club, will feature raffles, refreshments, and displays of more than 35 vendors. Vendor products include jewelry, cosmetics, home decorations, crafts, purses, baby items, gourmet foods, photography, pottery, rosaries, candles, books by a local author, murals, accessories, skin care and more.
Local businesses, participating vendors and Women’s Club guilds have donated items for basket raffles. Wine, cheese, coffee and desserts will be served. The Women’s Club also is selling tickets for a 50/50 Raffle after masses the weekend of Oct. 30-31 and at the event. The winner of the 50/50 raffle need not be present.
Proceeds from the event will support the Women’s Club guilds and the club’s Women’s Mite Fund, which assists parishioners in need.
