Elburn—The village of Elburn on Monday approved an intergovernmental agreement with Kane County to apply for a low-interest loan through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009 in the amount of $235,000. The money will go to pay $123,000 for the Com Ed line, to put a new roof on the waste water treatment plant, and to purchase a 6-inch pump that would be able to move water uphill in case of a loss of line.
