Village approves of McDonald’s plan

By on December 11, 2010

Sugar Grove—The Sugar Grove Village Board on Tuesday voted 6-0 to approve a final and major planned unit development (PUD) for a McDonald’s franchise at Route 47 and Park Avenue.

The PUD was reviewed by the Village Board during the Committee of the Whole meeting on Nov. 16 after the Plan Commission had recommended several revisions to the proposal submitted by McDonald’s. Several of the suggested revisions were eventually removed, with the exception of a condition mandating that all light poles on the property be painted bronze, as opposed to the aluminum color originally proposed by McDonald’s.

The McDonald’s will be built in lot 5 of the Sugar Grove Center.
