The following reports were obtained from local police departments. The individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Elburn
• Michael T. Lynch, Jr., 33, of the 1100 block of Swan Drive in Elburn, was arrested shortly before 5 p.m. on Jan. 13 for failure to reduce speed and driving under the influence of alcohol when Elburn police responded to a report of a pickup truck that had left the roadway and came to rest on an iced-over pond off of Hughes Road, just west of Pouley Road. Elburn and Countryside Firefighters responded and extricated Lynch from the vehicle.
