Feb. 4 police blotter
The following reports were obtained from local police departments. The individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
• Montrice L. McKnight, 21, of the 3600 block of West Flournoy Street in Chicago, was arrested at 2:50 p.m. Jan. 27 for retail theft under $300, after an Illinois state trooper witnessed him running from the Sugar Grove Jewel-Osco. The trooper was told by a Jewel-Osco employee that McKnight had “stolen some chicken”. McKnight posted bond and was issued a court date of March 4 in Aurora.
• Jessica J. Brown, 20, of the 44W500 block of Route 30 in Sugar Grove, was charged with disobeying a traffic control device, driving while her license was suspended and driving on a suspended registration for non-insurance at 11:56 a.m. on Jan. 29. Sugar Grove police stopped Brown after she made an illegal left turn into the Sugar Grove Jewel-Osco parking lot.
• Mario A. Olivares-Calderon, 30, of the 800 block of Superior Street in Aurora, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. on Jan. 30 and charged with operating a vehicle with suspended registration for non-insurance, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving while his license was suspended and on a warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear in court on traffic violation charges. Olivares-Calderon posted bond and has a court date set for March 1 in Wheaton, Ill.
