Mary Gould Mitchell, 84, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Elburn, passed away April 14, 2011, at the Braden Care Center in Bradenton.
She is survived by her son, John (Pat) Mitchell of Lakewood, Colo.; one granddaughter, Deanna (Shane) Rumley; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Colin, both of Colorado; one sister, Helen (Moon) Johnson, who has stayed close to Mary and would regularly visit her in Florida; eight nephews, one niece; and many great nieces and nephews.
Her many “Florida Friends” that will miss her dearly include Jean Simmons, the Bryon Fischer family and the Ed and Kathy Ranft family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and her brothers, Charles, Webb and Norris (Frances) Gould. She is also preceded by her nephews, Robert Johnson and Jason Gould. She now will be joined together again with her friend for many years, Robert Hawley.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, at 11 a.m., at the Elburn American Legion in Elburn, where friends are invited to share their memories of Mary.
