William “Bill” Chesnutt, 75, of Yorkville, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011.
He was born on April 23, 1936, in Sycamore, the son of the late John Henry and Marion Louise (Boyle) Chesnutt.
After serving in the Marine Corps, he graduated from Aurora College with a business degree and retired from BASF in Joliet after 25 years. Bill was an avid golfer and bow hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean P. Chesnutt; children, Mike (Karen) Chesnutt, Jeff (Shelli) Chesnutt and Ann (fiance Carlos Martinez) Hill; grandchildren, Scott (Georgette) Chesnutt, Megan Chesnutt, Jason Chesnutt, Glenn Hill and Jessica Hill; great-grandchildren, Caleigh and Mason Chesnutt; sisters, Chalys Chesnutt-McCoy and Rosie (Ronnie) Vermeland; brother, Ronald (Bev) Williams.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Hawley Chesnutt.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 26, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery.
