Richard G. Tellner

Richard G. Tellner, 77, of Montgomery, passed away on June 4, 2011. He was born on July 6, 1933, in Charlotte, Mich., the son of Charles and Augusta Tellner.

He proudly served his country with the US Army as a radio communicator in Germany after WWII. He was employed with Republic Printing for over 30 years and had a true passion for his work.

He had a love for all sports and was an avid sports fan. He will be deeply missed by all.

He is survived by his children, Lisa (John) Vanjoske, Amy (Michael Gasen) Tellner, Thomas (Ruhi) Tellner, and David (Esmeralda) Tellner; his grandchildren, Megan, Rachel, Paloma, Amy, Anna, Esa, Hamza, Frankie, Adam, Pauly, Jennifer and David Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Joanne (Jack) Carlson; and brother, Don Tellner.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Marge Poss, Vernon “Bud” Tellner and Jerry Tellner.

Family will be receiving guests on Thursday June 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private.
