Dyer circumstance

Nate Dyer, pictured with the USATF president for the state of Illinois, competed in the State USATF Junior Olympics on June 24-26 in Plainfield, Ill. Dyer, entering his sophomore year at Kaneland High School, competed in javelin, where he took second place, took a third-place honor in the shot put, and took first in the discus event. Dyer moved on to the Regional championships in Plainfield this past weekend. In the intermediate boys division, Dyer took first in discus, second in the javelin and fourth in the shot put. Dyer has now qualified for the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Wichita State University, beginning on Tuesday, July 26. Courtesy Photo
