Village may add coffee sales at train station

By on July 31, 2011

Elburn—The Elburn Metra Train Station could be getting a state-of-the-art coffee vending machine. Patrick Meister of Sycamore requested the board consider allowing him to install and maintain a table-top machine that dispenses coffee and other beverages that would be inside the station.

The village would receive an amount based on per cup sales, which would have to be determined. The machine would not require a water hookup and since it would be a vending machine and not a manned coffee cart, no license would be required.

While the idea was met with some favor, the board decided they’d like more information from Meister before making a decision.
