Village favors change to Sunday liquor sales
By Elburn Herald on July 29, 2011
Elburn—A request from Dan Brizek, owner of Knuckleheads Tavern, to change Sunday sale hours for Liquor License Ordinance Class A from noon to 11 a.m. was approved. Trustee Jeff Walter said he thought it was a good idea and would give the class A licensees an extra hour for liquor sales. In his request, Brizek indicated this change would avoid the need to go before the board for a variance each time a special event or charity motorcycle run is planned and would also encourage customers to come into town earlier. The item was placed on the consent agenda for final approval at next week's Village board meeting.
