Line up for the Elburn Days Parade

By on August 19, 2011

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19.

This is the 82nd Elburn Days Parade. The parade will have numerous units, including bands, floats, fire engines, antique cars, clowns and more. Additionally this year, Ronald McDonald will entertain the children as he rides through the parade in his special truck.

The parade theme this year is: “Elburn Lions, Connecting to the Community and the World.” The parade will last approximately 65 minutes and will open the festival as it ends at Lions Park. The parade route will begin at Reader Street and proceed southbound through the town of Elburn on Route 47. For more information, visit www.elburnparade.com

The Elburn Lions Club and Elburn Leos are proud to announce their participation in the Elburn Days parade this year. Its entry in the parade this year is a float designed by the Leos and sponsored by the Lions. You’ll see familiar faces on the float as members recognize Lions and Leos who serve in the community, as well as recognition of other local charities that the Lions have worked with over the years.
