Sugar Grove resident stars in ‘Annie Jr.’

SUGAR GROVE—Sugar Grove resident Maggie Madziarczyk starred in Marquee Youth Stage’s production of “Annie Jr.” at the Arcade Theatre recently. Maggie is a 9-year-old fourth-grader at John Shields Elementary and dreams of a Broadway career someday. This production is the first step in a long journey toward that goal.

Maggie joined a cast of 60 6- through 15-year-olds performing the much-loved story of Annie, an orphan in Depression-era New York whose hopeful approach to life and cheery disposition allow her to turn a “hard-knock life” into a brighter “tomorrow.” Two different casts performed this beloved musical
