SUGAR GROVE—The Sugar Grove Village Board on Tuesday voted 6-0 to approve the resurfacing of West Street as part of the 2011 Pavement Maintenance Program.

According to a document from Director of Public Works Anthony Speciale and Streets/Properties Supervisor Geoff Payton, West Street is deteriorating at its intersections with Maple Street and Calkins Drive and currently has several potholes, with evidence of pavement raveling throughout the entire length. The contract for the maintenance program was awarded to Aurora Blacktop, Inc., with an estimated cost of $18,683 for the completed work.
