SUGAR GROVE—The Sugar Grove Village Board on Tuesday voted 5-0 to approve the replacement of a Ford F-550 Dump Truck.

According to a document from Director of Public Works Anthony Speciale and Streets and Properties Supervisor Geoff Payton, the 2011-12 fiscal year budget includes funds to purchase a replacement for the 2000 Ford F-550 Dump Truck that is currently in use. The new truck will be equipped with a snow plow, tailgate spreader and anti-icing gear, and will be used for landscaping, snow removal, cold patching, etc. The document also states that the anti-icing gear will be the first step in incorporating liquid anti- and de-icing operations into the village’s snow removal program.
