SUGAR GROVE—The Sugar Grove Village Board on Tuesday voted 6-0 to approve the 2011 property tax levy.

A document from Finance Director Justin Vanvooren states that a tax levy totaling $3,996,795.15 has been prepared, and will reflect a 34.12 percent increase over the 2010 tax levy extension.

The document also states that a levy amount $1,587,155.00 in general obligation bonds is also included, and will be abated in the current year.
