SUGAR GROVE—The Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry was on the move earlier this week.
The chamber on Monday relocated to the Sugar Grove Community House, 141 Main St. The chamber was previously located at 330 Division Dr. Suite A.
Chamber Executive Director Shari Baum said the current economy, as well as the need to be based closer to the community, were factors in the decision to move the chamber to an office space in the Community House.
“We wanted to be located in the community—closer to the community. We were sitting in a professional building between Aldi and the funeral home (Healy Chapel), and we wanted to have a location that was accessible to the residents of Sugar Grove.”
Baum was still unpacking her things on Tuesday afternoon, but said she feels good about the relocation.
“I am very excited about the move, and very excited to be in town. I like to have information available for the residents—maps and community guides—and I think that this is going to be a better fit for the residents to pick up that information,” she said.
