Letter: Curtis is committed, compassionate, determined

By on April 2, 2009

I 100-percent support Kathleen Curtis for Village President of Maple Park. I have known Kathleen for the past six years as her neighbor. I find Kathleen to be a committed, compassionate and determined trustee who will go above and beyond for the residents of Maple Park as village president.

As trustee of Maple Park, Kathleen has been the finance chair, using her knowledge as an accountant to balance the budget, produce more tax revenue by conducting a special census, establish departmental budgets, completed a five-year capital improvement and investment plan, and received a clean audit for the village of Maple Park’s financial record.

Kathleen has been an active member of the Maple Park community since 2002 and cares deeply for the village of Maple Park. I believe that both candidates care for Maple Park and want the best.

The difference is that Kathleen Curtis is looking into the future for the residents of Maple Park.
