Send Girl Scout cookies to American soldiers

By on January 25, 2009

Help send a little piece of home to American soldiers overseas by participating in the Girl Scout’s Cookies for Our Soldiers program.

Fox Valley Girl Scouts will be out selling cookies through Monday, Feb. 2. Buy some cookies for yourself to help the Girl Scouts and add a few boxes for the troops.

The Girl Scouts add a personal note or coloring page to each donated box of cookies, which are then sent with other items through OperationCarePackages.org in Joliet. Fox Valley Girl Scouts began sending cookies to soldiers in 2006. Last year, they sent more than 10,000 boxes, and this year their goal is 12,000.
