BATAVIA—Building a new community education center and the first Catholic school in the Rockford Diocese are just some of the many accomplishments for Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia. On Saturday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m., Holy Cross will host “A Knight at the Pub,” a fundraising gala to support continuing community, parish based projects.

The event, sponsored by Moss Family Funeral Homes, is being held at Piper’s Banquets in Aurora and will feature an array of culinary delights, including hors d’oeuvres, a buffet meal and desserts.

Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and Sox tickets, plus silent auction and basket raffles will be featured. The highlight of the evening will spotlight a $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 cash prize raffle ticket drawing.

Auction items include: a one-week Florida vacation, hot air balloon ride, flat-screen TV, and many more items auctioned live by official Master of Ceremonies, Monsignor Daniel Deutsch.

Dinner tickets are $100 per person, or $85 for two or more tickets, and can be purchased at the Holy Cross parish office, 2300 Main St. in Batavia, or online through the Holy Cross website, www.holycross-batavia.org.
