Well, I don't disagree with cutting paper pusher public sector jobs and some other services. But, emergency personnel jobs should not be touched. A good place to start cutting is the money given to public education. Almost 70% of my tax bill goes to the school system. You can cut out hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries and things like the arts and other places to save the taxpayers of this community. Why do they always need more money and are always broke? If the village needs money there can easily be more cuts. The problem is not with Police or Fire.

Really...You've got to kidding! Please explain why the village of Elburn has to pay more taxes for less.To pay pensions for village worker's (police, fire & various other's)who are public survants should be lucky to have a high paying job at this time.Contract out a lot of our service and Elburn may cut its expence in 1/2. What are the pay scales of the city personal, and what more tax is going to ba asked for.The town is being taken to the cleanner's and sooner or later a lot of people won't be able to stay in Elburn for the reason of constant tax increases.

I also support the Elburn Police and have no problem funding some of their pension. Elburn is a safe, quiet community because of the people that put theirs lives in harms way.
