Pitcher Park honored in Ohio

LIMA, Oh.—After winning 31 games and advancing to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament, the University of Northwestern Ohio baseball team was honored by the WHAC with three players on the first team All-Conference list and six more on the honorable mention roll.

Pitchers Austin Park, a 2008 graduate of Kaneland High School, and outfielder Ben Smith were named to the first team. Pitchers Juan Espinosa and Pichi Torres, infielders Dylan Brammer and Ben Schubert, catcher Cory Cook, and designated hitter Kevin Cyrus appear on the honorable mention list.

Park was 5-0 with a team-leading 19 appearances, with a 0.96 ERA and 29 strikeouts, while being named to the All-Academic team.
