Ronald A. “Ron” Molitor
Ronald A. “Ron” Molitor, 65, of Elburn, passed away following a long, hard-fought battle with Leukemia, which included a stem-cell transplant. Though he struggled over the years, Ron found everlasting peace on Sept. 17, 2012, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
After graduation from Kaneland High School, Ron served two years in the U.S. Army before a long, fulfilling career in construction and farming.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carol (Lake) Molitor; three children, Andrew Molitor, Paul (Laura) Molitor and Lisa (James) White; five grandchildren and Jacob Molitor, Alyssa Molitor, Sarah Molitor, Avery White and Oakley White; eight siblings, Peter Molitor, Mary Stenson, Margie Raines, Bob Molitor, Don Molitor, Tom Molitor, Norma Zollers and Pam Anderson; many nieces, nephews and a family of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Shirley Thomas and Jim Molitor.
Visitation was held Wednesday at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn. A funeral to celebrate his life will take place Thursday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Eric Mangek, pastor of the Victory Baptist Church, DeKalb, will officiate, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in DeKalb.
