SG’s Limbrunner granted tenure by WCC

SUGAR GROVE—Waubonsee Community College Nursing instructor Tracy Limbrunner of Sugar Grove was recently granted tenure, effective spring semester 2013.

Limbrunner began working as a full-time instructor at Waubonsee in August 2010, bringing a wealth of professional and teaching experience to the position. Between 1998 and 2008, she advanced from surgical staff nurse to nursing education manager at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. She had also worked as a clinical adjunct instructor and a temporary full-time nursing instructor at Waubonsee prior to her full-time appointment.

In addition to her classroom and clinical teaching responsibilities, Limbrunner has also been involved in several campus initiatives and committees, including The Outcomes Project, Waubonsee Student Nurses Association, Health Care Petition Committee and New Faculty Learning Academy.

Limbrunner holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in nursing from Northern Illinois University.
