Kaneville woman dies in two-car collision

Virgil Township—A vehicle crash on Tuesday morning resulted in the death of a Kaneville woman.
An initial investigation indicates that at 11:45 a.m., Lorella Huff, 78, of the 46W500 block of Main St., Kaneville, was traveling north on Francis Road in her 1995 Toyota Camry when she failed to stop at the stop sign located at the intersection of Francis Road and Route 38. Huff’s vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by a 2012 Hino Box truck traveling west on Route 38. Traffic on Route 38 does not have a stop sign.
Huff was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, Christopher Bynes, 36, of the 60 block of Salt Creek Road in Roselle, Ill., was uninjured.
Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team are conducting a crash investigation. No tickets have been issued in relation to the accident.
