Ruth B. Nash

Ruth B. Nash, 82, of Sugar Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 10, 2013, at her home. Ruth was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Aurora, the daughter of the late John and Ina (Christenson) Covach.

Ruth was united in marriage to Paul C. Nash on July 17, 1953. She retired from Eagle Foods. Ruth also worked for the Kaneville School District cafeteria. She then volunteered for over 19 years at Delnor Hospital.

Ruth was a member of the Elburn American Legion No. 630 for over 25 years. She was a vibrant, energetic, loving woman whom continued to volunteer at Delnor and work out with friends until her death. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Ruth is survived by her three sons, Michael P. Nash, Tim J. Nash and Dion P. Nash; her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and her devoted sister, Jean.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Paul in 1986; and her sisters, Phyllis and Mary.

Graveside services will take place Saturday, April 20, at 3 p.m. at the Blackberry Township Cemetery, Elburn. A memorial of Ruth’s life will take place at the American Legion Post 489, 112 N. Main St., Elburn, from 3 to 5 p.m. Arrangements by the Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive Sugar Grove.
