Fr/So Golf
vs. Sterling—On Sept. 12, The Knights fr/so golf team defeated visiting Sterling 170-245 at Hughes Creek Golf Club in Elburn. Brett Glennon led the way with a 40, followed by Jake Peason and Michael Petrick 43’s, Jake Hummel’s 44, and Dan Franck’s 45. Jeff VanGemert shot a 47 and Drew Diffendal shot a 48.
vs. Hinckley-Big Rock—At Indian Creek Golf Club Friday, the Knights dispatched H-BR 179-228. Brock Williams led the way with a 43, while Joey Brandonisio had a 44. Luke Calabrese and Jake Pearson each supplied a 46, while Brandon Cruz shot a 48 and Petrick shot a 51.
at Sycamore—The Knights traveled to Sycamore Tuesday and dsipatched the host Spartans 174-189. Glennon was the leading Knight with a 40. Hummel had a 42, and Drew Diffendal shot a 45.

Sophomore Soccer
at IMSA—The Knights routed IMSA 6-0 Sept. 12. Filipe Speraggi supplied three goals, and Edson Del Real had two goals. Omar Aguilar had a goal and two assists. Sam Wolf, Joese Chavez and Andy Tovar each supplied assists.
at IMSA—Tuesday saw the Knights shut out the Barbs in DeKalb 2-0. Felipe Speraggi had a goal and an assist, while Del Real contrinute a goal and Mike Sorenson had an assist. The Sophomore group sits at 2-0-1, 1-0 in conference play.

Freshman Soccer
vs. DeKalb—The freshmen Knights lost a 4-3 battle against the visitng Barbs Tuesday. Javier Correa supplied all three goals for KHS.

JV Tennis
at Sycamore—The Lady Knights JV tennis squad defeated their Sycamore counterparts 4-1 Sept. 12. KHS swept the singles, with Emily Lutter (6-1, 6-0) and Brittany Zablocki (6-1, 6-1) easily dispatched their opponents. At doubles, the No. 2 duo of Ally McPhee and Heather Albrecht won a closely contested match 6-0, 1-6, 10-8, while No. 3 tandem Lauren Karolewicz and Marissa Michi won 6-0, 6-0.
at Rosary—KHS fell to Rosary at Marmion Academy Monday 5-2. No. 1 singles entry Emily Lutter won 6-3, 6-1, while No. 2 doubles McPhee/Albrecht won 1-6, 6-4, 10-8.
vs. Rochelle—Tuesday’s matchup against Rochelle was all Kaneland, as the Lady Knights won 5-0 to move to 6-2-1, 3-0 in conference play.

Sophomore Football
at Sterling—The Knights traveled to Sterling and defeated the Golden Warriors 36-6. No stats were available.

F/S and JV Volleyball
Kaneland JV Invite—The Lady Knights went 1-3 to place fourth at their own tournamnet Saturday. Geneva defeated KHS 25-10, 25-20, KHS defeated Lemont 27-25, 15-17, 15-8, Wheaton North defeated KHS 25-11, 25-22, and West Aurora defeated Kaneland 25-21, 25-19. Wheaton North won the tournament, going 4-0 on the day. Geneva was second, West Aurora third and Lemont fifth. No individual stats were available.
at DeKalb—KHS freshman B volleyball lost at DeKalb 25-13, 25-13, while the A squad lost 33-31, 25-18 Monday. The sophomores won 25-22, 25-22.
vs. Morris—The sophomore Lady Knights came back after a first-set defeat to upend Morris 18-25, 25-18, 25-22 Tuesday. The freshman B lost 18-25, 25-23, 24-26, while the freshmen A won 25-17, 25-13 against the visiting Redskins.

Eighth Grade Football
vs. Sycamore—On Aug. 26, the Kaneland Harter Middle School eighth grade football team defeated visiting Sycamore 35-0. Josh Marczuk had a rushing touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown. Garrett Hukle returned a blocked punt 37 yards for a touchdown. Calvin McDonald had an 8-yard touchdown run, and Dimitri Matarangas had a 66-yard touchdown run.
at DeKalb Rossette—On Aug 29, Kaneland traveled to DeKalb Rossette, winning 36-6. Jack douglas had 9- and 24-yard touchdown runs, Marczuk a 10-yard touchdown run, Matarangas a 30 yard touchdown run, and Hukle caught an 18-yard touchdown pass.
at Yorkville—On Sept. 3, Kaneland traveled south to Yorkville, defeating the Foxes 18-0. Marczuk caught a 6-yard pass from Douglas and also had a 19-yard touchdown scamper. Hukle added a 28-yard interception return for a touchdown.
vs. DeKalb Huntley—Kaneland fell to 3-1 with a 34-0 loss against DeKalb Huntley. Sept. 11. Four turnovers plagued the Knights, who were outgained 63-181. Kaneland had 5 first downs to DeKalb Huntley’s 12.
