Elburn updates subdivision ordinance

By on September 21, 2013

ELBURN—Elburn Village Administrator Erin Willrett, Public Works Superintendent John Nevenhoven and Finance Director Doug Elder recently made modifications to the village’s subdivision control ordinance, bringing it up-to-date under current codes and laws.

The last time the ordinance was changed was 20 years ago.

“We know what works and what people complain about,” Willrett said. “We think we have a pretty good product.”

Village Board members will review the document over the coming couple of months to ensure they are in agreement with the revisions.

Willrett said they have already begun looking at the village’s zoning ordinance, for modifications to that document.
