St. Gall to host
ELBURN—In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals, St. Gall Catholic Church will celebrate a Blessing of Animals at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, in the church parking lot. All are welcome to bring their pets or animals (on leashes or in appropriate cages).

Taize Worship at
St. Charles Episcopal Church
ST. CHARLES—St. Charles Episcopal Church, 994 N. Fifth Ave. (Route 25), St. Charles, invites the community to experience Taize Worship on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
Worship in the style of Taize, a monastic community in central France, is a service of light and shadows, chant and silence, readings and quiet prayer. Due to construction in the church parking lot, parking is available one building to the south at the Delnor Medical Offices. Financial Peace University provides hope
to families in Elburn
NASHVILLE—More than two million families have positively changed their financial future through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU).
The nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success. The course meets once a week, where a different lesson is taught by Dave on DVD followed by a small-group discussion. Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing.

ST. CHARLES—Crafters are welcome to apply for a spot in the eighth annual Arts and Craft Show, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, at St. Charles Episcopal Church, 994 N. Fifth Ave. (Route 25), St. Charles.
Managers of the juried show are seeking exhibitors of handmade items, including jewelry, autumn and holiday decorations, handmade garden items, fashion items, baby items, children’s clothes and toys. Bake, Craft Sale
NORTH AURORA—Union Congregational Church will hold its annual Turkey Supper, Bake and Craft Sale on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the church, located at 405 W. State St., North Aurora. Dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $4 for children ages 5 to 12, and free of charge for children under age 5. Dinner will include a beverage and dessert. Carry-outs are available. Tickets will be available at the door or in advance by calling the church office at (630) 897-0013.
