Aurora Airport offers Young Eagle Flights

Free general aviation airplane flights for children ages 8 to 17 will be offered at Young Eagle Days, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Aurora Municipal Airport on Sundays, May 17, June 28, Aug. 30, Sept. 27 and Oct. 26.

The flights are sponsored by Fox Valley Sport Aviation Association, EAA Chapter 579. Each child will receive a certificate and a photo with the pilot, and their name will be registered in the world’s largest logbook at the EAA Air Adventure Museum in Oshkosh, Wis. Information on a free Aviation Ground School held each fall, for those interested in becoming a pilot, will be available at the Young Eagles Rallies.
