Blood drive set to honor Gina Migliorini

By on May 7, 2009

A blood drive in honor of Gina Migliorini will be held Friday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Engineering Enterprises office lunch room, 52 Wheeler Road, Sugar Grove.

At 6 years old, Gina Migliorini was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Gina is the granddaughter of Jim and Carole Michaels, CEO/Founders of Engineering Enterprises, Inc., and daughter of Denise (Brian) Migliorini, vice president.

In November 2005, Gina underwent surgery to remove the tumor and followed up with 31 intense treatments of chemotherapy and radiation. Gina then underwent six monthly doses of chemotherapy to treat and hopefully cure her cancer. During the course of her treatment, Gina received numerous blood transfusions. She is currently in fourth grade and doing well. To show their appreciation and give back to those who gave Gina the gift of life, the employees of Engineering Enterprises, Inc. and their families are sponsoring the fourth annual blood drive on her behalf.
