Virginia L. Wells
Virginia L. Wells, 86, of Plano, IL passed away, Thursday, October 31, 2013 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born April 8, 1927 in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Elizabeth Shamblin. After many happy years at Armour Dial in Montgomery, Virginia retired in 1994 to spend time with her family, taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and gardening. She was a member of Indian Trail Church of God. Her faith was central to her life.
She is survived by four children, Patricia Wheeler of Plano, Rick (Kelly) Wells of Georgia, Doug (Tracy) Wells of Plano and Michael (Kim) Wells of Danvers, IL; ten grandchildren, Stephanie Murray, Jim Braddish, Ken Wheeler, Ryan Wells, Jami Phillips, Jerrad Wells, Jennifer Wells, Nicholas Wells, Elizabeth Wells and Evan Wells; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Laura Darby of Oswego and several nieces and nephews, including Myrtle Murphy and Anna Mae Barnett.
Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Hatch; one grandson, Eric Wells; her parents and nine sisters and brothers.
Family will be receiving guests on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 10:30 am at Dieterle Memorial Home with a luncheon following. Interment will be at Fowler Grove Cemetery in Plano.
