The 2009 Sugar Grove Corn Boil Medallion Hunt Committee has chosen the secret hiding location for the Medallion. This year’s clues will be more challenging, since the Medallion has been found within a few weeks the last two years.
Beginning June 4, clues will be released each Thursday in the Elburn Herald, as well as on the websites of the Corn Boil (www.sugargrovecornboil.org), the Village of Sugar Grove (www.sugar-grove.il.us) and the Sugar Grove Public Library (www.sugargrove.lib.il.us). Eight clues in all will be given, if needed, and the Medallion finder will be honored at the Corn Boil Opening Ceremony and awarded a cash prize. The medallion was painted this year by Kaneland High School sophomore student Oscar Oceguera, from Sugar Grove.
