Sugar Grove police blotter

The following reports were obtained from the Sugar Grove Police Department. The individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

DUI
• Eric C. Jacobson, 47, of the 22W500 block of Burr Oak Drive, Glen Ellyn, was arrested for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana of more than 2.5 and less than 10 grams, failure to signal and improper lane usage at 8:01 p.m. on April 18. He was driving eastbound on Route 30 at Municipal Drive.
• Mason P. Ledesma, 31, of the 800 block of Edgelawn Drive, Plano, was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 12:24 a.m. on April 19, 2009. He was driving on Galena Boulevard at Gordon Road when he crashed into a ditch.
• Caleb J. Baldwin, 23, of the 1300 block of Erica Lane, Sandwich, was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 8:42 p.m. on April 22. He was driving eastbound on Granart Road west of Dugan Road when he rolled over into a ditch.
• Justin C. Briney, 20, of the 700 block of Carriage Hill Lane, Sugar Grove, was arrested for DUI and disobeying a traffic control device at 12:58 a.m. on April 25. He was driving eastbound on Merrill Road, turning onto Bliss Road.
• Michael J. Ford, 31, of the 600 block of Elm Street, Sandwich, was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage and failure to wear a seat belt at 1:19 a.m. on April 26. He was driving northbound on Route 47, turning onto Bliss Road.

Theft under $300
• Veronica L. Perez, 32, of the 300 block of Capital Drive, Sugar Grove, was arrested for theft of under $300 for services rendered by the Hair Cuttery at 495 E. Route 47 on April 11, 2009.

Unlawful possession of fraudulent I.D.
• Jesus Diza-Garcia, 25, of the 100 block of Root Street, Aurora, was arrested for unlawful possession of a fraudulent ID card, driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with an expired registration at 3:15 p.m. on April 15, 2009.

Driving with a revoked license
• William J. Miser, 53, of the 1800 block of Wessell Court, St. Charles, was arrested for driving with a revoked license, on an in-state warrant for DUI, and disobeying a traffic control device at 12:24 p.m. on April 22. He was driving on Bliss Road and Capital Drive, on a road closed to through traffic.

Burglary from a motor vehicle
• Robert F. Simmons, employee of Harris Golf Carts at 549 Heartland Drive, Unit A, Sugar Grove, reported a burglary from a 1996 White Ford converter van at 7:02 a.m. on April 13. Items taken were a digital camera, a global positioning unit, an AC converter and cash.
