Russell W. Stewart, 66, of Sugar Grove, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014, at The Tillers in Oswego, Ill.

He was born June 27, 1947, in Chicago, the son of the late Henry and Evelyn Stewart.

Russ worked for Honeywell for more than 30 years. Besides being very handy and being able to fix almost anything, he was a very dedicated husband and father. Russ worked very hard to support his family, sometimes holding three jobs. He loved sailing, wind surfing and travelling, as well as taking road trips.

Russ is survived by his wife, Denise, of Sugar Grove; son, Wayne Stewart, of Elmhurst, Ill.; daughter, Monica Stewart, of Henderson, Nev.; siblings, Blondina (Cholo) Ruiz of Waukegan, Ill., Della (Juan) Ruiz of Chicago, Edward (Betty) Stewart of Yuma, Ariz., Barbara (Keith) Jauch of Wonder Lake, Ill., and Sonny Stewart, of Lake Geneva, Wis.; father in law, Denis Bielick; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law.

In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Joan Bielick.

Visitation was held Tuesday at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove. The funeral service was held on Wednesday at the funeral home.
