New fire station groundbreaking ceremony Monday

ELBURN—The Elburn and Countryside Fire Protection district will break ground on their new facility at the corner of Route 38 and First Street in Elburn Monday at 3:15 p.m.

Established in 1882, the district encompasses 75 square miles, making it one of the largest districts in the state.

The current headquarters, located on North Street, was built in 1962.
