ELBURN—Artists who were instrumental in the formation and development of rock ‘n roll will “appear” in “Legends of Music,” the annual summer theatre show presented by the Fox Valley Theatre Company with the Children’s Theatre of Elgin.

The production will feature more than 30 song and dance numbers by young performers including Madison Kleba, Mark and Matthew Michelson, and Tracy Suppes, all of Elburn.

Performances will take place at Elgin Community College’s Blizzard Theatre at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, June 19, 20, 26 and 27, and at 3 p.m. on Sundays, June 21 and 28.

More than 130 children, youth and young adults ranging from second grade through age 20 will perform as lead and background singers, dancers, and as some of the legends whose music will be highlighted in the Production: Cher, Paul McCartney, the Spice Girls and Nickelback are just a few of the legends scheduled to “attend” who, together, will be a central component to the show.

Tickets for Legends of Music are $10; $8 for groups of 20 or more that purchase their tickets at the same time. Tickets can be purchased online at www.elgin.edu/community.aspx?id=2220, or by calling the ECC box office at (847) 622-0300.
