Local, county officials to answer questions on proposed project
ELBURN—A public hearing will take place in Elburn on Thursday, Sept. 24, to provide information about the plan for the proposed Anderson Road extension and railway overpass.
Residents may view the proposed plan and ask questions of the project engineers and other county staff members. They also may comment on the plan.
County officials will consider any public comments they received, as they complete the planning documents and proceed to the final design of the project.
The public hearing is an open house format, so people may attend anytime between 7 and 9 p.m.
The Anderson Road extension and railway overpass is among projects the county is committed to undertaking. They and local officials believe the improvements will reduce traffic on Main Street in downtown Elburn and improve traffic flow in the area in general, through the creation of another north-south thoroughfare between Keslinger Road and Route 38. Sho-Deen Inc. representatives also have said they desire the improvements to facilitate their planned residential and commercial development along Anderson Road between Route 38 and Keslinger Road.
