• District receives two donations

    by Susan O’Neill
The Sugar Grove Corn Boil Committee recently donated $800 to the Kaneland School District for use at Kaneland John Shields Elementary School. The gift was in appreciation for use of the building as a cooling center during the Sugar Grove Corn Boil this summer.

Bill McSkimming, owner of Riverfront Chrysler and grandfather to second-grader Shannon and sixth-grader Abby McSkimming, donated a gift of $1,400. He will work with Operation Outreach to use the money to purchase two books for each child in second grade and a class library of books for each second-grade teacher.
