Having to deal with the hilly Lakewood Forest Preserve course as well as tough competition from rivals to the north, Kaneland Lady Knights cross country applied itself quite well on Saturday.
Finishing with 310 points, the Lady Knights finished 11th.
Crystal Lake South took first with 131, followed by Glenbard East with 140, Lake Zurich with 168 and Cary-Grove with 169.
Crystal Lake South’s Marianne Collard won the course with a time of 18 minutes, 27 seconds, followed by Johnsburg’s Kelly McNeely at 18:49.
Topping the Lady Knights was Andie Strang, who finished 20th with a time of 20:03. Fellow Lady Knight Kris Bowen was the second-highest finisher on the roster with a time of 21:03, good enough for 53rd. Lisa Roberson was 74th with a time of 21:42. Shaela Collins took 87th with a time of 22:03.
