Area police blotter for Oct. 15
The following reports were obtained from local police departments. The individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Elburn
• Vincent J. Baldwin, 26, of the 100 block of South Main Street in Burlington, Ill., was arrested at 11:32 p.m. Oct. 10 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Police stopped him for speeding as he was northbound on Route 47 north of Walker Drive in Elburn.
• Brian William Yurcus, 35, of the 500 block of Dawes Court in Glen Ellyn, Ill., was arrested at 4:16 a.m. Oct. 10 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Police stopped him for speeding on Route 38 just west of Route 47.
• Jason A. Runge, 34, of the 46W100 block of Route 38 in Maple Park, was arrested Oct. 10 for criminal trespassing at a home in the 100 block of E. Shannon Street in Elburn. A resident of the house reported the trespasser at 1:38 a.m.
• Someone stole a red, 10-speed Schwinn bicycle that was chained to a bike rack at the Metra commuter station in Elburn, on Oct. 13.
Sugar Grove
• A resident of the 100 block of Park Ave., Sugar Grove, paid $4,800 on Ebay to the supposed seller of a boat identified as Ryan Wendel on Sept. 16.
• Someone stole six bikes outside of a garage in the 800 block of Wild Ginger Road, Sugar Grove, sometime between Sept. 25 and Sept. 26. The total worth of the bikes was approximately $530.
• Someone stole a GPS system from a vehicle belonging to a resident of the 900 block of Edgewood Drive in Sugar Grove in the early morning of Sept. 27. The value of the system was $381.
