Hartmann earns scholarship

Holly Hartmann, a graduate of Kaneland High School, earned a $1,000 Holling Memorial Fund Scholarship as a sophomore at the University of Nebraska.

In addition, Hartmann also earned the David Distinguished Scholars Award and the George Beadle Scholarship.

Her awards were based on her accomplishments while a student at the university’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Among those accomplishments are her involvement in the Alpha Zeta Agriculture Honor Society, Pi Eta Sigma honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority, member of the AgEcon Club, member of Block and Bridle, member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

“My career goals include employment in the Ag-Econ industry, supporting our family farm through business and marketing decisions, and leadership in our local agriculture groups,” Hartmann said. “Keeping a well-balanced goal will allow me to strive to leadership roles in the agriculture industry.”

Hartmann is the daughter of Doug and Cathy Hartmann.
